That’s how I exactly felt when I was in Goa.
So Goa Trip was called up for many reasons – one of the important ones were invitation from International Film Festival Goa to cover their closing ceremony – and then I decided to extend this trip and make it fun by having a beach shoot which would be ideal in Goa and November 29 being my mother’s birthday led to continuation of all the fun and celebration.
I was just waiting for the FUN Trip to begin – working on my beach body, along with booking shoot with Goa photographers, buying swimwear, booking my stay and shopping in advance – All of this I could sense would pile up into a fun crazy trip over which I was super enthusiastic about.
First Day – November 28
The day started off with 5 am trip from Delhi which was bit hectic and tiring.
I reached Goa wherein my stay was booked at Risito Rio for starting two days and Grand Hyatt for next threesoon as I entered Goa Airport, I saw Nana Patekar and Juhi Chawla whom I am sure had come to attend IFFI Goa Closing ceremony.
The 48th IFFI showcased the best of recent International cinema, along with special sections such as Retrospectives, BRICS Award-Winning films, Homages and an Indian Panorama Section featuring the best of Indian Cinema produced in the past year. It showcased 195 films from over 82 countries.
I was so happy to be part of such an event where I saw LIVE performances of so many celebrities. Due to the hotel being 24 km away from the venue, we reached a bit late but it kind of looked unbelievable when I saw all celebrities were live including Amitabh Bacchan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra performing.
The day was super hectic and exhausting with me landing up the hotel at 1 am and a shoot waiting for me next day at 7 am. Godless!! All of this was crazy and fun at same time.
Second Day – November 29
The second day started with my mother’s birthday and an early morning shoot . I had my shoot at Vagator Beach with Sarthak Taneja who is an amazing photographer.
The beach was really beautiful and scenic and as per me, early morning shoots are best because of the peaceful environment . It was a swimsuit and bikini shoot for which I worked really hard including being toned and fit but in the end , I was really happy as the pictures came out good.
Post that we had gone for my mother’s birthday lunch at Marbella Resort. It is really scenic and beautiful and also the view from the Beach was awestruck. I ordered seafood there which was as expected lip smacking.
After which, we had visited a couple of south Goa beaches including Palolem, Angoda and Butterfly and Morjim Beach and till evening we had gone to Jardin d’Ulysse which is a beautiful restaurant walking distance from Morjim Beach. The place has really pretty gardens and I really liked the peaceful vibe there.
All of this led to end of Day 2 ended on a happy note including The beautiful beaches in south Goa, my mother’s birthday and an amazing shoot.
Third day- Nov 30
Today we shifted our stay from Risito Rio to Grand Hyatt because of better stay and view.
The location was beautiful and serene with a beach facing view from my room .Also as promised, I had gone live which I hope you guys loved it
Then, made a trip to Panji market and nearby
We had our lunch at a place known as Black Sheep Bistro which was in Panji market only and also, pretty famous. The restaurant has really nice collection of wine and a soothing environment which was refreshing specially post-shopping at Panji.
Post that we had gone to Fort Aguda which was bit humid as It was humid to have a bite from Tuscany Garden restaurant.
The night was enjoyable as we decided to go to the casino at Deltin Royale.
Even though I preferred playing safe but still ended up losing all money and it was indeed a lot of fun going all crazy with splurging money there.
Fourth Day – Nov 31
I woke up late just awweing to the beauty of hotel sea view from my room with a dip in the pool which was super relaxing andenjoying all goa feels.
It was the second last day so decided to make it relaxing and chilling with not much to go out. Just visited some beaches at North Goa including Candolim, Baga, Anjunaand, and Vagator and lunch at Thalasa which was again an amazing place at Vagator.
The night was spent at Curlies which was a seafaring restaurant and this being my last night at Goa, the thought of coming back to Delhi made me feel bad.
Day 5 – Last day
Day 5 was the hardest !!
Having a flight at 11 am and saying bye to goa was not something I wanted to do
So the day carried on with packing back and me leaving for airport and then a flight landing to Delhi at 1.30 pm
I believe the best time in Goa for me was just spending near the beaches with good vibes and amazing combination of good food and soothing music. I also once in while everybody should take a break and visit travel to places they love .
The thought of back to normal routine and same people did not make me feel great .But yup had already started planning my next trip from there 😛
What an amazing trip it was!! Sharing a short video with you of Goa below. Do give love to it 🙂
